Marketplace Rating: 0 | Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria I hope I'm not the only one who's waiting for this game. http://www.square-enix.co.jp/vp/vp2/
And it just got released today.
EDIT: Damn, it's in a limited-edition "Artifact" box, and according to Dom of Megatokyo, it contains:
"1) Two artbooks (I love VP's art style, it's refreshingly nonstandard)
2) Two soundtracks
3) A ring (sadly, not Der Ring des Nibelungen)
4) An absolutely gorgeous figure of Silmeria (more info here) "
Awesomeness.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I was just curious - this will be my deciding factor for purchasing this game:
Since it IS an import, there's no way that the text in the game would be in English, is there? I mean - we got lucky with IIDX, but like Initial D (PSP), everything's in Japanese. Can anyone either confirm or deny the text languag ein this game? I was never really any good at translating.

The game looks absolutely amazing. It's scheduled to hit the States in the fall and I look forward to it a lot.
I mean...it has Brahms. BRAHMS.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yeah, I've been pretty exciited about this game for awhile. It's interesting because it isn't like the other RPGS I've played in the past. I'm looking forward to this and Tales of the Abyss in the Fall

Marketplace Rating: 1 | Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria... I haven't played an RPG in a while
(well, I am playing Monster Hunter on and off, but it's not traditional).
This is the one game that'll get me playing something besides IIDX/Pop'n
with my PS2! Looks AWESOME!

Jesus, that was fast. But I'm not surprised, the original title is highly sought after (though it's more of a collectors item than anything else, I'm surprised people remember it's a game) and people drool over it.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | Getting this game! Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria, hell yeah I'm getting this game; infact, I've ordered it earlier today....the JP version. Seems that there is a Japanese, Asian, and Korean version of the game........the US version will be released some months from now.
I'm sure that the Asian and Korean version will play in a Japanese system, so need to worry on that. Also, the Asian version will have a little English text guide for basic operation. =)
I've been playing Valkyrie Profile (PSX) for a long time and I STILL love the game...I have all of my files on the memory card occupied. I sure hope that Silmeria keeps up the awesomeness despite the idea that leveling up doesn't increase your HP (so I've heard).
This game is hella expensive for an import though...$89.90 P-A (and that's WITH a $5 off coupon)....FedEx. =P

Marketplace Rating: 5 | Yeah, you now have generic Einherjar who you do level up, aside from your main characters, and you have them fight along with you, gain levels and then you send them up and you get accessories and such that give you huge boosts in abilities. There are a LOT of them too.
It's the same price that Kingdom Hearts 2 and FF12 were.
