Xbox 360 Fan stand vs. Xbox 360 Intercooler

I am looking at both these products online, and I am stumped. I looked at customer reviews for the Intercooler and a lot of ppl say works great, get it, yadda yadda, but some ppl say no don't get it it burns your 360 and ruins it don't get, a fan stand is better. But now i look at the fan stand and again, it's great, works, yadda yadda, but some say, no it causes problems i used an intercooler instead works better.

So which should I get? Or should I even bother?

I have used both. Get the intercooler.

I vote for intercooler as well. housefires suck. mine works perfectly, and my 360 is obviously not on fire. or burnt.

The intercooler is loud, a friend has it. His also overheated from playing Saints Row, so get alittle more reviews first

I think "not putting your 360 on carpet" should do just fine.

Yeah, I don't understand why it's so hard to either just stick it up on something or just get something to put it on. Like the box it came in? My friend just has it in his entertainment center and it's never had anything go wrong.

wait, didnt the original batches of 360s have the whole heat/fire problems?

i bought mine later and i dont have any such problems, but bought the intercooler anyways, because i felt like spending money that day =\

It doesn't hurt to have some additional air circulating through when the things have a reputation for dying due to relatively minor problems. I'd rather drop the $20 and have it run cooler than watch it shit out on me when I could have avoided it.
