I'm sorry RK, I'm your friend and all, but I don't understand people's obsession with Nana. If you look at the show like a fan, she's a very very sad character. If you look at the show objectively, she's a very very sad stupid shallow character. Either way, the legion of people who are hot for her does not help when I'm trying to overlook the show's (already massive) flaws.

Elfen Lied's "flaws" were overpowered by the fact that Lucy is a badass.

Nana is adorable as is. I just woul;dn't want to see any hentai of her, limbs or no limbs.

And as for Lucy being a badass, I agree to an extent, but her badass-ness was severly limited by how painfully repetitive the killing got. Every once in a while a cool death would come up, but mostly it was same old, same old after the first episode or two. Also, the gore was (usually) nowhere near detailed enough and too silly at times to be considered cool.

I do love the overall dark feel of the show, though, but even that is constanty being tainted by incredibly stupid (and usually superflous) dialouge from the human characters. My appreciation for the show is ultimately saved by a few excellent concepts (though many of them are not be well utilized) and the fact that the show opens on a fucking amazing note and closes on a fucking amazing note.

The same thing I do every time you mention Elfen Lied, and try to deny that you hate it...

And I still say the first episode wasn't very good.

*Also it's not like this is the first time I've posted here. It's the...fourth, I think. The other posts were on 6.0 (ok, so it wasn't this board, but this board didn't exist.) . My first post was in the hentai thread actually, and I complained about how it sucked (I was intentionally being dumb, but I'm not sure why). I go out of my way to no post in these topics because everyone is all "POST CONTENT OR DIE", or they used to be anyway...so yeah, guess I'm about done derailing this...
