How do you even make those light drawings?

Slow shutter speeds. As far as I know, most point-and-shoot cameras aren't capable, but if yours can (or you have a SLR of some type), you can increase the length of time the shutter stays open and capture moving light. It's like those photos of traffic where everything are streaks of light.
