Did a few posters in PS; first time user

I recently acquired PSCS2, and I toyed around in it, making posters. I'm trying to start a venture crew (google it if you wanna learn more) and I decided to make some posters. Some are just resize jobs, but I used filters on one of them.

Well, maybe not related or anything....but you are talking about the one in NJ right? Apparently, I go to your sister school AHA >.>;;
Anyways, they look nice! I'm guessing the filter was used on the first one? If so, it came out good.

The text could stand some modification, but I don't know how. It looks so imposing.

It's because the columns are too close together. It makes the text fields have a little less distinction. The third one is the best of the bunch. They all have nice pictures for the backgrounds. The filter work for the first one fits well.

I would experiment with different font sizes within the same poster (ex. Make the "Don Bosco Prep Venture Crew" part larger than the rest of the text). I would also move Wednesday to the next line or remove it altogether. Finally, on the first two, I would rotate the backgrounds a little so the horizon is not at an angle.
