how do i "PrtScn" an avi file and paste onto paint?

Search for player which can do screenshots like SubEdit or use VirtualDub and cut only one frame and then save as jpg.

Or you could do it the annoying way...

1. Right click on your Desktop, then go to Properties.
2. Go to settings, advanced, then troubleshoot.
3. Where it says Hardware Acceleration, drag the slider thing to "None."

And then you should be able to get those screenshots and stuffs. Just repeat and turn the acceleration thingy back up when you're done... especially if you've got Stepmania or some other program that hates when you do that.

Dunno. The only bright side to all that is you don't have to install anything...

But as far as what Lisek said goes, Windows Movie Maker takes screenshots, too, now that I think about it... but if you've got some other file it won't read, well, yeah... you hafta try something else...

I use Windows Movie Maker. You should be able to just press the "Print Screen" button, open MS Paint, and paste it as an image, though.
