For those of you wishing to draw your characters, Bemani or otherwise, in typical anime/cute girl/sexy poses, I have found a new place to find some reference. I had stumbled on this after looking for Phoenix Wright stuff and after clicking around on some of the links, I realized that I could find some neat poses in the various gatchapon and PVC figures that were being featured on the sites. Some of the figure reviews have multiple angles on the doll or statuette in question, and this offers a lot of variety for drawings you may want to make; some of the back views are quite sexy and offer you a chance to practice angles that you may not draw very often. I hardly see any drawings that aren't front or 3/4 views around here, and any chance for us to become more advanced artists is worth trying, right? =D
The sites are in Japanese, but even without being able to read I feel that you will be able to find something you like. I came across these late at night and didn't want to take the time or effort to actually read most it and just kept clicking on the pictures, and that got me somewhere. Of course Japanese reading experience helps, but you don't absolutely need it.
Please keep in mind that although many of these figures are sold in brick-and-mortar shops in Japan, like department stores (!), that does not prevent the artists from displaying adult material. Some of the pictures on the website will have some boobs or some butt somewhere, and there is no way to prevent yourself from accidentally seeing a thumbnail here and there, or clicking on a thumbnail and finding that the full view does show some adult stuff, so if you find yourself offended by plastic figurines, then maybe this isn't for you. Personally, I found that this may be more helpful since it means I can draw the figure and then add on MY character's clothes instead, rather than having to imagine the figure without clothes.
