so what version of OC do you use?
also, how do you do you get your lineart to show so smooth? (like the last pic)

I use openCanvas 3. I would use oC4, but since it ditches the old brush settings, I might as well be using Painter.
As for the lineart, I use the pen tool with the minimum brush size at 0, no opacity, and increase the pressure modification since I press a little hard on the tablet. Also, a lot of ctrl+z. It takes some practice, though. | |

the lines of some of your work do seem to have some sort of drop shadow or glow, does that just happen automatically, or is it a special setting you use
and as for ctrl+z, I'm used to whoring those two keys when I draw. ALOT.
I'm still getting used to this whole tablet thing.

Hm, it might just be how openCanvas just renders its stuff, though you can get a similar effect with gaussian blur.

You are incredibly talents to be able to freehand such clean line art. I tried it myself, and it most certainly did not turn out well. Pretty sure I'll need to learn to use the pen tool in Photoshop if I ever want to make clean line art. | |
