I guess people really don't know what true rave is anymore...

You people that go out in your sideways mesh caps, tight jeans with checkered belts, and white vans shoes, that claim yourselves to be SO RANDUMMMMMM XD, and think holding a glowstick makes you an instant raver make me sick.

Raver elitism in a thread about a terrible raver webcomic.

Nice.

I went to a rave once. I wore my normal clothes (at the time, anime t-shirts and cargo pants), didn't do any drugs, didn't dance. I just went in this side room where a different DJ was playing and stood next to the bass bin so my whole body would vibrate.

Alright, that's enough out of all of you. Elitism has no place on these art boards, be it raver elitism, forum elitism or art elitism. As I've said in the rules, if you're going to criticize someone's works, do so nicely. There is a big difference between constructive criticism and simply being an ass.

Any further posts in this thread that follow in that style are going to result in instant infractions.

Elitism nothing, the comic is utter garbage and completely unsalvageable from pretty much any perspective. You want to be a "everyone is a special flower" pussy go ahead and enjoy yourself, but tearing this piece of crap down is an effective way of making sure it never happens again.

Constructive criticism be damned, I'd much rather people stop making derivative garbage entirely than work on making it better.

Whenever I rave I just wear a T-Shirt and OH SORRY LOL TIGHT PANTS BECAUSE MAYBE I'VE GOT A NICE FIGURE OR SOMETHING I DUNNO and my LOL VANS SORRY BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO GET MY NIKES SCUFFED. I can't see how people dance with 50 lbs. of glow and stuffed animals and sticky, sweaty nylon on. Nor can I see how they dance with hoodies on, or half their clothes off. But I never say THEY'RE NOT RAVER, THEY'RE NOT RAVER AT ALL BAWW because chances are they're more into than I am. Oh, and then there's that they're just different than me. That's not a fucking crime you know, diversity. Raving was supposed to be about acceptance, even Drum n' Bass came from Reggae if you've done your homework. And remember, Gabber literally means "Buddy".

Also, lololol 'true rave' is music and dancing not fashion, aren't fashion snobs the reason raving sucks now?

ITT: butthurt PICASIO PICASIO

I was only associating people that dress like that as the type of people that are bringing every type of music down. Instead of people dressing in whatever the fuck they want, they all stick to this uniform, and for some reason, have completely different personalities (SOO RANDUM XDDDDD)

Also, drum & bass sucks.

god I hate those checkered belts ~_~

I'm not a raver at all, I just don't like it when people call glowsticking in a rave 'Poi'... it has very little to do with it.

Why on earth would you waste your energy on being annoyed at other people's fashion choices?

Also, I've never actually seen these people in, and I quote, "sideways mesh caps, tight jeans with checkered belts, and white vans shoes" at a rave. And you say they conform to this, "sideways mesh caps, tight jeans with checkered belts, and white vans shoes" uniform. That is exactly, "sideways mesh caps, tight jeans with checkered belts, and white vans shoes".

Are you just talking about normal people?

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't waste my energy... especially if it involves arguing the god of fashion...
