Rate my geocities site

So for some reason, I became interested in web designing. With no money in me pocket, I decided to turn to yahoo's geocities. Yea I know geocities suck balls but w/e. I still work on this from time to time, but I want to know ur opinion on this. Is it good / bad? Suggestions?

If you're interested in web design, it might be a little more pro-active if you...had a design? There's not really anything there besides text and links.

And looking at your source code, you really need to do some research on what goes into a successful site. manually placing each object within its own table is a terrible way to start out. check out HTML Dog and run yourself through their tutorials and see where that takes you.

Well, it's a start. But really you should look at a few main things.

1) You have a huge youtube and photobucket picture right at the top. Is that really what you want people to see first? That might (and probably would) distract your user and lead them away from your site.

2) Where's the design. You put in a few sentences with a link. You can surely be a little more creative than "Here you can view some of my signatures"

3) Are you using the visual editor? If so, you should learn html and css. It's really not that difficult to learn either and both will help you gain a lot more control over everything on your site. Especially css. Google html tutorial and css tutorial and that should get you going.

Try making a layout in photoshop or something, then piece by piece, put it together. Good luck, I'm interested in seeing some progress from you.
