It's such a fantastic concept, but it looks like its already been overrun by the anime wank crowd. There's not nearly enough variety in style for my tastes, when 90% of the images are crudely drawn anime faces.

I mean yeah, there's plenty of actual good anime style art, but with that not an option, it'd be interesting to see the various original styles that appear.
hell maybe I'm just really tired.

I like how you draw responses rather than write them.... maybe that is the point.
Look like DA crossed with 4chan tbh.

I love the pictochat-esque feel to it though. I'd love if they added the feature to something mainstream like Livejournal or the default "Wall" in Facebook.

But since you guys were talkin' about a community minus the anime...... conceptart.org is a pretty great place if you wanna get away from the ANIMU. But it's limited to mostly just Entertainment-type artwork... you wouldn't find paintings, really (ok, well maybe some).

Though from what I'm seeing right now, I'd probably have to say that it's more of a mixed bag in my book.
Well, thankfully some artworks appeal to me (regardless if it's the anime/manga kinda of artwork or not at all).
Whilst some drawings though are crap in my eyes and appear to give me a signal that it's just a waste of time (though to be fair enough, I'll probably give them a bit to credit to say that at least they tried hehe )
Granted, it's a mixed bag at the end of the day.
So I guess, we'll take it either way we see or perceive it
