Timer, here's some constructive criticism. Remember, art is art and while my criticism may be harsh in some areas, you can learn by taking points you find valid in a criticism and apply it to your artwork.
Your artworks are very bland, close approximations (styles and colors) of the characters. This makes for very uninteresting fanart. Even your "original" characters look exactly like they characters you've been drawing in high quantities. There's nothing unique or different about your art.
If you want to get better at your art, quantity does not equal practice and does not equal quality. Also age does not matter, it is experience and talent.
Your characters are very rigid, there is no form. Though you do try, they look like they're trying not to fall over (with a smile). The pieces looked rush with no control over form and no goal in mind other than to finish it. You need a goal. What do you want with this piece? Do you want just another drawing of Minit's or this character from Rozen Maiden looking nice in a dress? Maybe it's a good idea to draw them in such a cliché Japanese style known as chibi? Will my new piece stand out amongst the others I've made or the other pieces made by other artists with my experience, style and talent?
Most of all,
is the drawing boring? Does it focus on the wrong subject? Does it evoke a response other than it's a drawing? Example below:
Next, this is the only piece I find that actually balances the basic elements of art combined with fanart, form and color.
You
can do art as shown in the example below. I don't know if you traced this or had a reference but this is good. Maybe you can use this style for your actual fanarts instead of cartoon line drawings. That would make you unique. I know stippling and pointalism arts can be a time consuming and tedious task but the results are usually amazing.
In conclusion unless the
only response you want from people is "OMG CUTE" and while you're not trying to break any new grounds or trying to have your artwork be put into the Louvre, you still need to stop being
cloy with your blasé, bland and overall boring art pieces. Other than just "HEY LOOKIE I DRAWED MINIT'S AGAIN",
do something else with Minit's or another subject. You won't believe the positive responses (other than OMG CUTE) you will get.
You're taking art classes and that's good. I'm sure your art teacher have have said this. You have potential.
Go further than you are now!
