The "Make Razer some banners and backgrounds for Stepmania files" thread

I'm back to making new simfiles (Now with holy shit double charts). I'm good at making files, but I seriously such at making backgrounds/banners, so I call on the Graphics Request forums for aid. I don't want anything half-assed, but neither do I expect a masterpiece.

Here's what I need (or want) (ALL FILES ARE DONE):

(DONE AND UPLOADED) KING of the SEA (pop'n 13 CARNIVAL)- Background and Banner
(DONE AND UPLOADED) Caring Dance (pop'n 15 ADVENTURE)- Background and Banner
(DONE AND UPLOADED) Genso Suikoden V (pop'n 13 CARNIVAL CS)- Background and Banner
(DONE AND COMPLETE) Quiz Magic Academy (pop'n 13 CARNIVAL)- Background and Banner
(DONE AND UPLOADED)Tougen Emaki (pop'n 13 ADVENTURE)- Background and Banner
(DONE AND UPLOADED) White Flying Wings (pop'n 12 IROHA)- Background and Banner

Depending on how they are, I give out a handsome amount of tokens (anywhere between 3000 to 25000+). They can be high-res pictures on the internet that fit the song, something drawn or made in any program (custom banners will MAKE IT! MAKE TOKENS!). If you decide to make banners or touch up the ones from pop'n music to fit properly without being cut off at the banner area in Stepmania, that could get you 500 to 2000+ tokens.

Note: If they looked rushed, lazy, or half-assed, it will automatically be rejected.

If I choose a banner or background over other peoples backgrounds or banners made for the same song, I will still give them 1000 tokens for effort (200 tokens if banners). If it's not complete shit, you have nothing to lose.

Banners and backgrounds will be chosen by me around a few days before I put the file on the site (AKA usually when I'm finished with all the charts). There will be more projects in the future, but for now anything I need done with what I'm making will be posted in this thread or edited in the first post. If I do choose a banner, I might not give you the tokens until the following week or so afterwards to keep the daily token interest up so by the off-chance that If I have to more than I have, I won't be able to give tokens when dues are due (like that will ever happen *snicker*).


I will only bump this thread at least every two days of no activity. Since this is a subforum, I do not expect people to even notice my request for a couple of days (if I'm lucky).

What I mean by "half assed":

When I say "half assed", I mean it looks like you went to google or any other search engine for five minutes, picked out an image, and the put the song title and artist on the background through Photoshop or MS Paint. and made the banner image dimensions cut off horribly since it does not fit the banner space in Stepmania or a hacked ITG2 machine, or shooped people or other images into a background so lazily they are inside a white box or can still see pixels of the original images background.

Unless your google image results gives you an image that fits like a glove for any of these six songs, do not even bother.

Just because I am offering tokens for effort, it does not mean you can exploit this opportunity to make 1000 or so easy tokens because you are simply dying to have a custom title that says "COCKSCOCKSCOCKSCOCKS" or to correct the spelling of your title because you forgot to press "c" on your keyboard one or two times because you do not believe in checking over the spelling of your 1000 token investment.

Banner cropped from BG: 1000 tokens
Banner for Caring Dance: 2500 tokens
Total: 28500 tokens
Advice: Keep a steady course. I was impressed.

Timer:

Effort for making banner: 300 tokens
Image finding: 1000 tokens (since b00geyman used them)
Total: 1300 tokens.
Advice: Don't do that to the banners. I would much rather have them unedited and resized to somewhere around a 256x80 format. That could have been an easy thousand without question.

Background for Suikoden V, Quiz Magic Academy, and Tougen Emaki: 7000 tokens + 6500 tokens +6000 tokens (19500 tokens)
Banner for Suikoden V, Quiz Magic Academy, and Tougen Emaki: 1500 tokens + 1500 tokens + 1000 tokens (4000 tokens)
Total: 23500 tokens
Advice: Giving advice to you would be like giving finger placement advice to VGTA. You don't need it since you know who to do and you kick ass at doing so.

I will be making more pop'n files in the future (and maybe some from beatmania Yebisu if I get bored). These six are just the first batch. Take your time since these files will not be done anytime soon considering that I am not even fully done even one file since I'm also making double charts (to be honest, I haven't even gotten to work on two of the files).

I am going to update my personal progress with the files in the first post from this point forward.

Don't like teh banner. But if wanted to use Sarasa, I kinda trim the character off the banner image wiht Paint. :X

Remember, if you are going to make banners using the pop'n banner, just resize it without text editing or cropping. It's easier and looks better and it doesn't cut off so much in the banner window in SM.
