Default Aphex Twin :: drukqs (An Experiment)

I figure my Christmas present to the BMS music production forums this year would be some discussion

Some of you may have heard the rumors surrounding Aphex Twin's album "drukqs", specifically how the two CD's included when played together fit harmonically. I heard about it some years back but I never bothered to look into it until tonight. I was quickly disappointed when several google searches turned up little to no discussion on the matter.

Well, being bored tonight, I decided to put in an hour or two into making a single track and cue sheet of the two CD's playing together using Acid Pro 6.0. I made sure to cut each track perfectly, so it would sound exactly the way it would if it were two CD players playing both CD at the same time with no gaps in between tracks.

drukqs: An Experiment

I invite all of you to listen for yourselves to see if the rumors are true. Either way you go, get ready for a super mindfuck

RAR package contains:

1) READ ME.txt
2) druqks - An Experiment.mp3 [320 kbps]
3) druqks - An Experiment.cue

Cue sheet was made to split the MP3 into eight six-minute tracks and one four-minute track, making a total of nine individual tracks. You can use any cue program to split the track. I personally use CueSplitter and am very happy with it.

Enjoy! And I hope this gives you something to talk about
