Hmm...the way I see it, the song really really really needs more distinguished melodies, like a synth line, something that is grabbing the listeners attention. The strings and gates are very pretty, and the kick outbursts are a nice touch, but in the end, it all becomes really generic and boring.

This would make great video game menu music, but as for music for someone to sit down and listen to? Needs work. Lots of it.

The string instruments don't sound very good in quality, composition, or volume. This piece needs to be a lot darker compositionally to capture the "beautiful but insane" feel, although I agree that the name is terrible (names aren't need 'til the end though!) It seems like you don't want much emphasis on melody or harmony, so I suggest adding more interesting and varied percussive parts.

I don't mind the repetativeness at all. Trance was meant to be a repetative genre. However, there is nothing "progressive" about this piece, it's just trance with a little ambience thrown in.
