I'm just curious of how long you've been at this and what your equipment list is . That utopia tribute was cool.

Started last month... the program i use is called MTV Music Generator. Its mostly for PS1 but i recently found out there was a pc version of it. From what others have seen they say it looks like fruity loops only with a different interface... and i have never used fruity loops before so... yea, lol.

Hahahahahaha oh god MTV Music Generator- that was my first program I ever used.

From all the songs I heard, they were all just loops made in the program.

Yeah dude, take my word for it. Don't use MTV Music Generator.

Underestimating Music Generator is like underestimating Fruity Loops.

You would be very surprised with the things that can be done on Music Generator.

I don't even think I could compare Music Generator with Fruityloops.

MTVMG is a sequencer. FLS is a sequencer. However, MTVMG only plays samples (no generators) but if you can pull in samples from an external source, there's nothing wrong with rendering them elsewhere and pulling them in.

Anything with a WAV import has the capabilities of any other program with a WAV export - you just have to worry about the transport.

</twocents>

Regarding your music, the composition is pretty good. The song itself sounds quite old-fashioned, though - sort of like old tracker-format modules. But there isn't much you can do about that unless you use samples other than the ones from MTVMG.

Still, a decent start. I recommend keeping up with this and seeing where it takes you

I was resistant to changing to FL Studio myself. Always used programs such as FastTracker II and the like - until I decided to spend a couple weeks using solely FL to find out how it worked. A little bit of a rocky start to get used to the new interface, but... it was a change for the better

Holy crap, info from the sanxion man himself.

Anywho, i torrented a crapload of loops, so I'm gonna see if i can mix some of them with the ones from MTVMG.

Anywho, new remix.
Planet X Stage (Xtra Party Hour) - ::CMG (UTOPIA)::

From the videogame GEX. I submitted it to OCReMix but they rejected it cause they said it sounded too much like the original song along with some other things but i forgot what they were, lol.
