Alright, so its been a while since Ive made an original track, but this time Ive hit the mark .
This is a really cool energetic trance song using sweet melodies to fire the track up. I posted it on a local forum, and a local DJ here in my city is gonna play it at his sets and what not. This is a huge step for me since this is the first time Im gonna get some exposure like this.
I really hope you guys take a listen, and I really hope you enjoy it . Let me know what you think. DJ SymBiotiX - Orange Sky

So, I basically made this song a long time ago and released it then. Im still comitted to going back and fixing/extending/remastering alot of my old tracks, and this one just happened to come up. In the begining, this song was loosely (and I mean very loosely) modeled on Quazar by TaQ and A by DJ Amuro, eventually it turned in to this. It somewhat has 3 parts to it that kind of all come back together at the end. Im not sure how to describe the genre so I'll just throw it in to the techno genre.. since I dont think it really fits anywhere else.
Let me know what you guys think DJ SymBiotiX - Determination
Also there is a "short edit" (The short edit is the length of the original. I ended up extending the song, so I decided to make a short edit that was the length and feel of the original) DJ SymBiotiX - Determination (Short Edit)

Alright so 2 things.
1. Somebody wanted to use Splash Beats! (Paradise Mix) for one of them stepmania type games, so I decided to go remaster it, but this time I rewired reason in to ableton and remastered it like that. I think it came out quite well. (I also made a short edit) DJ SymBiotiX - Splash Beats! (Paradise Mix) DJ SymBiotiX - Splash Beats! (Paradise Mix) -Short Edit-
2. I was listening to one of the songs that I made for my 2nd album (which I'm going to restart one day) and I decided I should release it. So I started up reason and ableton again today and did a remaster on that. Its a pretty chill song with some cool sounds and such. I really liked this one when I made it, and I hope you guys enjoy it as well.
Some feedback would be really nice for this one. DJ SymBiotiX - Memories of The Past

So I finally finished a new song :P. My friend had remixed a song named Black and Silver by an artist named Umbrella I believe. I really liked his remix, so I took a shot at remixing it myself. The final result is an 8 min 10 second uplifting trance type song. Also this is the first song Ive actually completed on my Reason+Ableton setup. So enjoy, and let me know what you think DJ SymBiotiX - Black and Silver (Sweet Ass Fernando Mix)

Alright, some of my usual trancy type stuff, but a little darker than usual. Not sure exactly what to lable the genre as. Maybe progressive trance, I dunno :P.
Anyways, let me know what you guys think . DJ SymBiotiX feat. D-Latch - Red Pulse

So, speaking of nexus, I recently got it to try it out and stuff. (By recently I mean today). I started playing around with the presets and found some nice pads, and played some chords and they came out a little jazzyer than usual :P. So I decided to expand upon it a bit, and throw in some glitch and stuff. Definitely not done, and just like the song below, im not sure if I'll finish it, but I'd like to know what you guys think. DJ SymBiotiX - Funy Stuff :P

So just recently I invested in a 2nd 21.6 inch LCD monitor and a Radeon 4850. Needless to say, LOTS of desktop real estate is AWESOME. (Live on one monitor, Reason in the other... awesome )
Ive been wanting to get in to progressive trance for a while, and ive been meaning to learn how to manipulate vocals and the such. This song is more of an experiment then a full out production, but I still think it sounds pretty cool. Id like to know what the community things of my experiment in a new genre. Gimme some comments and such . (In the end I might finish it up and release it, I kinda like where its going, but I'm not sure what to do now lol, the last part transitions pretty badly) DJ SymBiotiX - Progress

good though. i like it.

Total Tokens: 596.20 Donate Tokens | There's something about the percussion you use that I've never been a fan of. It always has (IMO) a bit too much verb on your cymbals and hats, and that combined with the fact that they lack expression (you don't vary the velocity of any of your beats) makes the drums sound far worse than they could.
That being said, I really like where you took the piece. Some really interesting progressions, and you've definitely got the hang of the vocal stutter very nicely. Really quite well developed. I'd love to hear some dirty distorted bass from and actually electric bass in there as well- that sort of thing can really liven up a mix.
Nice job- this is the first piece of music that I've heard of yours that I really enjoyed (no offense meant, of course).

Off the bat, something about that arp/pad chord progression in the beginning I found really annoying. I don't think its out of key, just that the sound is annoying. The feeling is mutual with the bass sound and with the other gated sounds you have. When the chorus/main track comes in though, things start shaping up a little better. I like the synth melodies and the nexus pluck a lot, although I think the piano could be turned down a little (or maybe have less reverb? Dont know exactly)
The track itself isn't bad, but some of the sounds are really lackluster, and the progression doesn't really go anywhere. You have your sections and breaks, but it all leads to the same place. Youre playing it safe for lack of better words.
Good stuff regardless, although you should see how you can find some better sounds and maybe put a little more progression in the track.

Total Tokens: 596.20 Donate Tokens | Your production work is vastly improved. However, you could definitely increase the level of the claps as well as decrease the level of the piano. Why is the sound you use in the bass (dedep-derp-derp-derp-dederp-derp-derp) in the start of the song so ugly sounding? the rest of your sounds are tight, but that sounds like a vangaurd preset, and not a particularly good one at that.
