I still might do some mastering on this one. Some parts are too long, Some sounds clash, some transitions are rough, so try to stay away from those in critique, because I already know that :\

This a whole lot better than that one song you posted eons ago that was recorded live or whatever XD
A lot of the sounds are nice, it has this futuristic chaotic kind of sound to it. I'm not so much into IDM (that's what I'd consider this track, IDK what you would call it) so I can't really give you a fair critique on it compared with other similar stuff.

That's what I was aiming for XD Although I still loved the drum groove on that track, I wish I could get a hold of it... :\ I have to admit, the synths were pretty suck ass, I didn't know anything back then v___v

I don't understand the IDM mentality but thats not going to drive my review of this song.

It's not bad theres a lot that I really don't like and some of it is actually pretty cool. It seems more progressive than IDM honestly, the first thing I notice is the sound that sounds like a parot squawking I just want to stab it in the face. The drum beat is really really solid and nice but its just the same thing over and over, a little variation would be nice. At about 1:10 it gets kinda messy too much goin on there. 1:40 I like the way you re-introduced the drum melody. After the 2 minute mark it seems to go down hill, it gets really cluttered like wow, the synthy melody reminds me of the golden saucer from FFVII it's neat but over powered by the clutter of the song. The lasery synth/sound you use throughout the song gets really kinda grating on my nerves and at the end of the song I'm feeling abused, too much going on my ears get raped. But a nice soft contrasting ending not too bad at all!

Pro's: Great drum beat holy shit, Neat synthy golden saucer type melody goin.
Con's: WAYY too much stuff going on hard to decipher half of it from the other.

Agree 200%. I'm actually jealous because I cant envision such gorgeous chaotic drum patterns like that, but theres SO much shit happening that I feel intimidated by the music. It's not inviting at all. You ARE sitting on gold though, just add SOME organization to the chaos.

@ DJRandom: I appreciate your review. The IDM mentality is, frankly, making new music. Making music that couldn't be mistaken for <i>x</i>Number of Trance Artists. It's being unconventional for the sake of being interesting. I couldn't say I could play this, say, at a rave, but I could play it for me. I guess that's the furthest I can answer that question. I suppose some of use just want to get signed to Warp too XD

@ Dark: Have you got their new CD yet? It's AWESOME.
Have you ever played a drumset? That helped me a LOT. And actually, playing Drummania helped me SEE the drumbeats. Also, editediteditediteditedittheHELL out of your drum sounds. I pick apart nearly every sound in my final. I also program conplexed/BreakIDM drums on a matrix inside the sequencer. That drum beat is also 2 drum beats, there's only a rare few songs I ever make with just one. Beck and Massive Attack both use 2 drummers now, and ever since I saw that I starting layering the hell out of my drums.

@All: While personally I think that there Isn't too much going on, I'll try to remove some aspects in ver2.
