First thing I notice is the equalizing. Those snare-type percussions are a bit overpowering of the rest of the track. That synth brough in around 0:25 or so is so quiet, I can hardly hear it.

Next thing I notice is how repetitive the melody is. It's a very overdone buildup/breakdown pattern. Rather boring. Then I hear Link(?) scream around 1:52. Why? Why Link? Then it just starts up with an arpeggio-style piano melody. Oh, looky here. More of the kick-on-quarter, clap every other percussion. Boring. All the way up through the three minute mark is just repetition.

3:13 introduces that piano melody again. Slightly different, but same formula. Okay, now I like the background synth you brought in here. I do admit that. But then you ruin things by bringing in that percussion pattern from the beginning! NO! BAD! Otherwise, standard build up, breakdown into piano pattern, etc... what the hell? Terrible last note. You do a little pattern twice, pause a second, then hit a short bass piano note that isn't nearly in the range of the others.

Overall, it appears that you know how to use the software you're working with... but you have very little skill at composition. The structure of the song is incredibly formulaic, the percussion sounds like every generic trance/house song on the planet, and the piano melodies are little more than arpeggios. Add in the random Link scream and the random last note, and I think you need to take a music theory class.

I give this song a 4/10, with a five being a random, generic song of the same genre. With a few exceptions, the equalizing and effects are good, but compositionally, the song is well below average. With some studying, though, I'm sure you can do much better!

The first thing that I notice that REALLY bugs me is the sweeping pressure feel that happens at a constant pace where the synth seems to get louder and it makes my brain slowly compact. The piano isn't too bad but indeed it is very formulaic. Stop sweeping the stupid synths it really puts an un-neccesary pressure on my ears. After 3:13 I agree it sounds nice, had you not used the precussion pattern in the beginning it would have sounded really nice, the last note sounds like you hit the key on accident standing up from the piano :/..

I find techno is too overly generalized. Alot of people seem to think that almost all types of electric music is "techno". ITs really not though.

Just listend to the track:

Percussion isn't bad, but just a bit generic. The sweeping pads sound cool but
after a while it gets rather watered down (and is a bit overwhelming when
the piano come in IMO).

The piano sounds really nice, but more melodic work would have been great~
The arpeggios and the bells didn't hold my attention for long. Don't let that
discourage you~ Everything sounds fine, but there are certain steps you
can take to take this track to the next level.

3rd section sounds cool, but again, more variety is needed in the melody
and the chord progression.

Try not to add and add and add until you can't fit anymore music into it.
Seperate things a bit. Give certain sequences a break~ it'll freshen things
up and make it more appealing.
