After listening to this several times I appreciate it more and more. It's a very interesting thing to compose something based off of one's experiences. However, I still think the harp in the beginning is a bit too loud, but if that can't be helped then I guess there's nothing to do about it. The melodies are very nice, and knowing part of the story behind it all makes it that much better to experience.
Also, I was right, putting some reverb into the track adds to the effect of it being played live a lot: it gives it a much fuller sound, gives the illusion of stereo, and makes it much more enjoyable to me. If you want I could send you the reverbed version to reupload if you approve of it
