Talking Infinity Project - Resistance [possible Broadjam entry]

This is my newest song, Resistance. I don't really know how well it'd do in something like broadjamDDR contest 2007, but if you have comments on it as far as that goes PLEASE give them to me. If not, i'll probably just enter it in the next Stepmix Contest.

The melodies are decent, as is the layering of the different elements. The piano is a great touch. Good bass too, it definitely fits the song. The melody is really cool, albeit slightly FX heavy, but it also fits (though it could use a little more variation). Drum variations are nice, that's definitely a trait of the genre. But I think the piano has a lot of reverb on it and it kinda muddifies the sample a bit, especially when combined with the other parts of the song. Also, the drums don't stand out enough. The level isn't so much of a concern as the EQ. Usually in DnB, the bass drum has IMPACT. What I mean is, it hits your woofer well enough where you can feel it above the bass.

Overall, I really like how the song's coming along. With a few adjustments, it could be a permanent addition to my song collection.

THANKS! I'm surprised to not get too many comments on my drums, as that seems to be what i have the most trouble with in general, but i'm still just getting the hang of using effects, and now listening to the song again, you're definatley right about the piano melody. I should get some good speakers and a woofer though, so i can tell better about the bass drum thing. RIght now i'm just working with some sony headphones on my laptop. V_V'. But thanks for the comments!

EDIT: At first i lowered the volume of the drums because the capls were a bit to harsh, but i just uploaded the updated version with the pioan fixed, and what i did with the drums is I lower the volume of the claps, and raised the overall volume of the drums, and really like what it did. so... yeah. UPDATED!

EDIT2: Okay, so for some reason when i converted the audio format it cut off the end of the song, so give me a few minutes to fix it and we'll be good!

EDIT3: FIX'D!

well this is all i have to say... don't submit it hehe. I'm not saying your music sucks well because you have alot of talent. You have nice melodies but i don't think this is what konami would like. So i would suggest you start from low to high. After a year or so you'll be making incredible music. I've been making music for maybe 2 years and you are better than me.

thx... i guess i sorta agree with you. I've only been seriously making music since i got reason (xmas) and i still have a way to go before i'm producing at the quality level of DDR. I wasn't really going to subit it though, unless people really thought i should, and putting that it is or might be a contest entry in the title may help get people to listen and review.
