Marketplace Rating: 0 | Making your own music Hi i'm Zheant.
I'm making my own music in FlStudio. I have maked some songs, but i'm not that good yet. It's mostly trance or dance, but i like to make many different songs in different genres.
Is there someone who makes music too, and maybe could give some tips ^^?

And genres? It depends on the soundfonts you have. You can do almost anything. This is something I made with FL Studio 5. It's just 10 seconds long :p

It's better than the stuff i've done, so can't give you much help, but one thing i noticed, is how long the intro took to develop, and it seemed to loop for a while, and that's something i've been told i do alot as well. Just try developing to as new part of he song sooner, and you'd be suprised how much better you music will be. And yes, I do realioze it is an ambient style song, but that doesn't mean it's doesn't need to develop fast. Other han that tho, I liked it.

But the thing is that there are small, gradual changes involved .. I think the track was the same for the length of the first half.
I also agree that it was nice. But it got old too fast when it was repeated like that. The composition is strong, but variation in terms of melody and drum work could be great.
Come catch us in the music production forum. You'll want to have a look at some artist like Beatdrop, Vospi, dj MEAS and CRH (if he's still around). They really know what they're doing.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Thanks for the tips =D. I think that i need to get past the thing about multiple repeating since many of my friends have told me that i do it almost all the time. Well i have only maked music in about 1 year, and i'm using a demo so i can't remake it later because i can't save my songs :/. I can only export them, so the time makes a problem there. I looked a little in the music production forum =D, and i love the songs that you have made =). I would love to try Fl and maybe CSound. Some links would be nice thanks =D.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yes it is, and while i know nothing about the program, i hear nothing but good about it, who knows, mebe i'll start working with it someday. For now i use Propellerhead's program called Reason, which i suggest looking into, as well as FL studio, to at least compare your options and see which you like better. THere's also a Reason demo avail. from the site, www.propellerheads.se
