MP Forum Rules // PLEASE Read before posting !!

Hey, welcome to the Music Production forum !

This place is about to CREATION, PRODUCTION, MIXING or DJing. Not a place to discuss about your favorite songs or to ask free mp3s.
If you want to discuss about music, go to the Medias forum. If you want free mp3s, well, Bemanistyle is not your place.

Flaming is not really tolerated. I prefer this forum clean. If you don't like someone's work, just explain why. But don't start any war, except if the case is really hilarious. (such as Tiger M & v00d00ppl)

You can also talk about yourself being a musician, not necessary creating music. If you play an instrument, let us know !

I think I covered mostly everything. If I missed something, I'm going to edit this post.

Any suggestions/comments about the Music Prod. forum ? Just post in this thread.

Actually, I have one question that wasn't posted in there?

What if you made edits of Bemani or Bemani related songs, or in fact, just any edits?

Because I usually make short edits of many songs.
EX: teranoid&MC Natsack songs, etc.

Since it's not a remixing or it's own production... would it still be allowed here on the MP forum?

If that's what you did, make sure to specify it when you post. You could ask for comments/help on doing edits of that manner; that is appropriate.

I believe we discussed a certain template for creating threads in 6.0.

Wasn't it something like"[ThreadCreator] [__Name of thread__] [Latest Work]"

Are we still going by those rules?

There might be a new thread started for something like this, but as long as the post doesn't cause any sort of problems it really doesn't matter to me (or filterchild, probably) what format the post is in.

I've found a really big problem in the whole artist thread scheme:

Since we are using vBulletin now instead of phpBB2, it has a time limit on editing topic titles. If the user does not edit his topic title within this time limit, it will only change the title of the post within the topic (like when you'd normally edit the first post to change the topic title)
So I guess we need to rally to have the topic title edit time limit set to some ridiculously large number like 999999999999999999999999999 minutes (if possible)

I'm sure this has been covered a bit in the rules but I would like to remind people: DO NOT
I REPEAT
DO NOT post requests for popular songs. This is NOT a request forum.
Also do NOT post a request for somebody to cut a song for you to use in stepmania or what have you. If you want somebody to cut a song for you that bad just PM someone from here and they might be able to help you.
Also, if you wish to request an original song by someone from this board, just please PM that person, do not create a new topic.
Most people that frequent this board respect and adhere to the rules, and I appreciate that. I'm sure the noobs who have created topics recently requesting popular rap songs didn't even bother to read the rules.
