my name is sylvester draggon jr, located in nyc and i make music. still attending college, but focusing on advertising design rather than music. music is something he would rather enjoy making and playing than taking too seriously. been playing piano for 15 going on 16 years, and i still use a floopy disc to make my songs.

and i make fake sounding chiptune shit and sometimes some weird-ass cosmos-meets-R&B type of shit. here are links to my two aliases;

Hey, whats up! I'm dj Xayro Seversky, commonly shortened to dj Xayro. Although, I'm really not a DJ, well, not very good at mixing anyhow. I'm just a singer/songwriter :P

I started back in 2004 with a FL Studio 5 (or some low number) Demo that came with ACID. Later on, I got a hold of FL Studio 7 XXL, and am I loving what I do. I've never been able to express myself quite like this before.

Programs:
FL Studio 7 XXL
Audacity

VSTs (of Primary Use):
Nexus (upgrading to Nexus2 soon)
z3ta+
Vanguard

Hardware:
A really old Yamaha Portasound used as a MIDI keyboard.
A computer, obviously.

I'm a part of Delacourt Digital Recordings (www.delacourtdigital.com - *Delacourt Digital Recordings) and am working on an album release right now, entitled "Memories of Tomorrow". I also worked on an original score for a movie entitled "The Shakespearian Man", it's more of a college level movie than anything, but it was sure fun to help out with.

Check out my artist thread here, or visit my musician space (MySpace.com - dj Xayro d[-_-]b - KOKOMO, Indiana - Electronica / Fusion / Christian - www.myspace.com/djxayro) or the Delacourt Digital site (www.delacourtdigital.com - *Delacourt Digital Recordings)

Sup everyone? The name's Matthew, alias peacemaker. I also used to make music under the aliases "The Red Rebel" and "Rushmore!"

I've been producing music for a long time now- I started out with fl 3 and have stuck with it ever since. Nowadays I also use acid a fair bit because its much better for arrangement and audio editing the fl.

Though I used to be a completely digital artist, I've been slowly but steadily pushing into the realm of analog- I've been playing guitar for longer than I've been producing, so I currently have a nice setup with a Gibson LP Studio Faded, Boss ME-50, an Ibanez Bass, and a laguna acoustic guitar. I've also got some other weird equipment lying around- I've got a Galveston Dobro, a Korg Electribe, and a Casiotone that's older than I am.

This summer, it was my goal to learn a great deal more about song production, and arrangement, as well as to get better at guitar. As a result, I spent a fair amount of time doing mashups, both girltalk style and straight mashes. I also have been learning about the workings and limitations of dBlue glitch, a pretty awesome piece of software.

I don't often use software synths for production anymore, but when I do, its generally a heavily modified sound from nexus, Toxic III, or Vanguard.

I'm not affiliated with any label yet, though I did license some tracks to o2jam under the name "the red rebel" a while back.

May I also shamelessly copy this nice template?

How I Got Here
I've been on here on and off since it exists probably, was on the forums before it and moved here in it's early days. I play also on and off DDR and IIDX. Those games helped me discover new tastes in electronic music and overall made me like it even more.

How I Got Started
Years ago, probably a little before I started playing DDR USA and DDR 3rd Mix, I got different softwares and made awful tracks. Started with Rebirth, then moved to Fruity Loops, then to Reason, then to Cubase SX. I also was introduced to the Montreal rave scene by a fellow DDR friend and decided to myself buy a pair of turntables. I've been a DJ for about four years now.

Why I Do It
Because I love the music and want to share it with everyone, inspire other DJs and producers, mainly in the music style that I promote, commonly called UK Hardcore, or Happy Hardcore. It's a style in constant evolution, with hundreds of new released tracks every year. A lot of people are aware of it now, but we need people to continue it's promotion.

Aliases
DJ Matduke. That's pretty much it.

DAWs
Cubase SX 3

VSTs

Native Instruments Battery 3
Native Instruments Kontakt 3
Native Instruments Massive

and many more... that's the tip of the iceberg =/ I'm all about software sounds.

Full Name: Jason Chau

How I got here: I am somewhat heavily influenced by music from the BEMANI series, starting around 2002 when I borrowed PSX DDR games from my friend, which I then expanded to IIDX, GFDM, Pop'n, and PPP.

How I got started: I participated in the FREAKY PLANET remix contest for m.o.v.e at ACIDplanet. I didn't come close to winning, but it was an interesting experience.

Why I do it: I like music. I like making music. Maybe I can inspire other people as well.

Aliases: I started off as WILD JOKER as my alias of the remix contest, but after the contest was over, I use DJ YASU for all of my original works.
The origin of "DJ YASU" comes from the [康] character of my Chinese name, which can be pronounced as "Yasu" in Japanese. It also reflects on my interest in Japanese culture as well.

Genres: Electronica, Rock, and other genres that catch my interest.

Programs I use: Sony ACID Pro 6.0 and FLStudio 7. I don't play or own any live instruments in my tracks. They're composed from VST instruments and audio samples I have.

I currently host my music on Box.net, where it can be streamed or downloaded. (The link is in my signature)

How I Got Here
Probably through DDRManiaX back in the day. I used to upload simfiles here back in the day, now I just lurk and post in the Southern California area sometimes.

How I Got Started
I obtained a copy of Magix Music Maker or something like that, which came loaded with loops. From there, I downloaded Acoustica MP3 Mixer and put those loops together (along with some downloaded from Flashkit and other songs I liked) and just made simple little mash-ups/"remixes". After that, got into FL Studio with a friend and used the sounds supplied with that to make simple little things.

Why I Do It
Because there's nothing more satisfying than hearing hours of work amounting to a four minute MP3 file that you're proud of.

Aliases
goodbye mexico

DAWs
Ableton Live

VSTs

Anything that was listed in the VST thread.

Hardware
Mini classical guitar I got in the 5th grade that has never had the strings changed.
