My First Original Song!!! Teknical Overdrive

The song is named Teknical Overdrive, a Techno styled song. Since this was my first song, I decided to give it a pretty plain title, but not dry. I made it a few weeks ago on a program called Music Maker 2004. If any of you know what Music Maker is, you probably think that I'm a n00b at music making, which I am. Creating this song was a one time shot, given by my school, to make a song using this n00b program for a project. I actually liked how mine sounded so I thought you guys at BMS should give it a listen to. I'm not sure right now, but I might even make a simfile out of this. Heavy has been roughly stepped and I think this song has potential to be a decent simfile. I hope you guys like my 1st song EVER made! Just remember, it's only my first song. So, If my music skilz disappoint you, please, pretty please with a cherry on top, no flaming.

It's okay if you're not using a l33t programz and working with n00bzors stuff.

Teknical Overdrive was ok. That synth that comes early in sounds out of place, i think you should replace it with another patch. It just doesn't sit well with me. The percussion is good, i liked it and the bass synth was a nice touch. Other than that, the track was okay. It's a nice start.

By the way, something tells me that this isn't your first track. The way the synths and percussion came together, and the way your bassline was written out ~ how you let the note play and then cut certain notes. I know first tracks, i've written them too, and this doesn't have that 1st track quality i'd come to expect.

Just a thought.

assuming the software he is using is anything like ejay, its just premade loops that you place, and can modify as well. will give a listen later.

Yeah, you've hit the spot. The percussions, bass lines, synths, and everything else were basically like premade loops that you place on the screen to line up with the music. You can also adjust the pitch, volume levels, and lengths, but the loops still have the same pattern of music no matter how you change them. That's exactly why I called this n00b software. And to DjMeas, it's really my first song I've ever made in my life. I don't know what you mean by "that 1st track quality" if it's a good thing or a bad thing. But don't worry, I don't think I'll be making another song for a while. Well, at least with this software I won't be.

haha, what i mean by "1st track quality" is that when i first started out, it pretty much sounded like crap ^_^'' And this is your first track, and it didn't sound like crap and all and i'm just surprised ^_*

i suggest DLing the Demo for FLsudio and doing some work with thats.
