This web page has my originals and my remix of Traces by TaQ. My newest song, Avalon, will be up on this page October 30, the day after Orange Lounge Radio does their live show. I promise to do all I can to create more music for all of you to download and listen to. Enjoy!

You're doing alright technically, but... I dunno, study some music theory or something to figure out what sounds like chords.
EDIT: STOP WRITING LYRICS. "You Can't Escape Me" is.... something. Yeah.
EDIT 2: I think you could do with some more interesting percussion, too. Maybe warble your snares?

Also, I listened to your traces remix, and I have got to say.
1. It sounded NOTHING like traces, I could barely make out what you tried to take from the original song.
2. The synths werent very good.
3. I dont know..
Yea you need alot of work, but keep at it. We dont mean to be completely harsh, what we are basically trying to say, is learn some music theory, and listen to ALOT of electronica to understand what kind of synths etc. sound good and which ones dont.
Your on a good track, just keep working at it.

Just a thought .. you might want to move away from that. Towards just about anything.
I noticed you take a lot of influence from bemani. Since that's your ultimate goal either way, it's okay, but you might want to look at other music within the genres you've written. I'll get shot for saying this, but sit down with some mainstream techno or trance and pick apart the structure with your ears. Learn the little nuances, and the foundations as well. Then, emulate and modify to your tastes, but use what's out there as a foundation.
Also, when singing .. it's a long ass road for just about anyone, but something that really helps is breathing from your stomach. It's like you're running out of breath at the end of every phrase. This way, you have more push behind your words. You need air to sing.
Best of luck. | |

As for my music mixing program, yes, I know it's outdated, but I'll be getting a better one soon enough.
Just remember, all of this music (except Avalon) was from 2 years ago. But thanks for the tips. I'll do all I can to improve the sound quality of my songs.

It just sucks. It's always sucked. It will always suck. The Music Maker series has always been terrible. Even worse than Cakewalk.
It retails for $40 for a reason. Remember that Reason goes for $500. Do yourself a big favor and get at least the standard edition of FruityLoops. It's only $100.
Yeah. I'll be honest. None of these songs are any good. Not even the new one. It's the sort of thing I'd throw together, and then trash after five minutes of work. But I'll admit... You Can't Escape Me made me laugh.

Oh, I see...
Lie to the disabled, Hm.
Never thought of it that way.
Cool plan though.
(Edit: consequently, my cousin is autistic and writes beautiful music on piano. Of course, that's basically ALL he does, but you're certainly ill-informed.)

more along the lines of, if everyone is wondering WHY it sounds so crazy, that's why.
btw autistic behavior is sometimes actually savvant ability, and not autism, so you're not so well informed yourself

the thing is about him is that he comes off as *extremely* cocky and pretty much assumes he is one of the best freestylers/ddr players ever, which is why i don't feel bad putting his mental condition into the light.
