Default New to FL

Hello everyone!

I want to get into FL Studio 7, because I would love to be able to make my own music. I mean, who wouldn't?! I know that I'm going to be giving up a lot of time, and I think I'll do what I did with GIMP an play around with it to get good. But that's not what I'm here for.

Apparently, the samples that come with FL are pretty crappy. I would not know how to install new sounds into it, or where to get good ones, so if anybody could point me in the direction of a good sample pack that I can mess with, could you please tell me?

Thanks,
Ben Speirs

If you have FL Studio FL Edition or higher, either boxed or downloaded, and you register, you can get over 7500+ samples from SampleFusion...provided you obtained FL Studio 7 by legal means (e.g. buying it). If you didn't, looks like you'll have to shelve in about $30 for each sample CD or start looking on the internet.

I'll be honest, do this:

Play around with the samples for a bit. You can make music with anything. If you really are finding yourself enjoying music production, drop the good 100 or so bucks for the legit version. It comes with a ton of good samples, and I believe it comes with Sytrus, a great beginner synth collection (dont quote me on that though).

If you have a microphone, like Dark said, you can make music with ANYTHING. LITERALLY. With a microphone, record yourself doing a single sound effect, clip the unwanted parts, repeat about a few times, and then improvise with it.

Here's a rather good example in video form.
