Would any of you care to critique this piece?
I just recently experimented with making my own vocals, so forgive me if it's cheesey as HELL
By the way, my knowledge of actual genres is limited. What genre could this piece by labeled as? Just curious.

It sounds cool, its got a flowing, radiating atmospheric feel to it.
The vocals are fine :p
Very good job, the intro could use some work, like as in making the song "start" faster, but overall the song is cool.

As for genre, seems a bit like speed/trance music... but I wouldn't be able to give a definite genre to it.

By and large, I'd say its not speedtrance at all. It lacks the distinct drumpattern and by and large, the speed to be called speedtrance. Closest thing I can think of off the top of my head is some of teranoids stuff. So I'd say at the very least it shows some NuStyle Gabba elements. Oh, and its very good. I'll post more comments on it later, but know (if you made this on fruity loops) I'd love to know what synths you used to make this and possible snag the fl.zip.

Still, an enjoyable track. I liked the energy of the instrumentals backing the main melody.

it's almost like a movie soundtrack score but TECHNO. Like i'm being
chased (sorry if that sounds wierd lol) and time is running out. The
kicks give me that feeling since it's not constant like your average tech song,
it's almost like a heartbeat.
As for the vocals, i didn't really hear what you were saying (it's 7am and
everyone is asleep) since i don't have the volume high.
Overall, good track~ Especially loved the portamentos near the end,
i need to use them more often myself ^_^

Not sure how to go about fixing it yet though. Quote:

What's a portamento? Quote:

Even though I'm a fairly good musician, I know next to nothing about actual music term...stuff.
