How many of you guys are djs here? I figured we'd get it rolling with what you use, and what you play.

I currently have:

Two 1210 M5Gs and a DXM06 mixer. My mixer's crossfader has died on me, so I can't scratch anymore. I've also had to resort to using the upfaders to mix because of this.....blech.

What I play?:

I play mainly a lot of Hip-Hop, dance, and some deep house. I refuse to limit myself to mix only by BPM, and if you've heard one of my sets, you'd know they're all over the place.

Yeah. We get a kick out of playing other people's tunes, and we're willing to pay our ways into debt for it.

I actually am just getting into DJing. I don't have my tables yet, but i'm getting them soon. I'm gonna get 2 Technics SL1200MK5s, which are supposed to be what everyone uses.

As far as what I spin, I plan on playing mostly Gabber and Happy Hardcore, although I really like a lot of other styles such as Drum 'n' Bass and Hardstyle.

I've been doing a weekly radio show for afterhours.fm featuring the latest in progressive/uplifting/tech trance.

You can listen to all archived mixes @ http://www.mattng.com

I do must of my mixes through software, because I find that it is so much better to do pitch matching and things like that.
