Premium account at Broadjam... is it worth it?

Being a guy who did those Broadjam things, I can safely say that being a paid member isn't a necessity. If you want to join the site just to win a DDR contest, then the monthly cost will probably be overshadowed by how much it costs to enter the contest in the first place. I only sent in two songs, so it doesn't really matter how many you submit.

In short, you don't have to join. What matters more is the quality of the stuff you put out.

Broadjam is a useful tool. If you have the extra money for a paid subscription, and your music isn't total shite, it's definitely worth it. They have many contests worth entering, and you also have the option of selling your music online for $.99 a download, of which you keep $.80, so that's a pretty good return. Better than iTunes can offer, and definitely better than a record label can provide.

That's a good point. I want to sign up there because I was looking around and it looks like they have pretty good connections and stuff and I may be able to network there as well. Hmm... selling my music... well most of my stuff is... ok a ot of my stuff is on AP for free, but I am getting into virtual orchestral so if it's any good, then I'll consider it maybe. Thanks for responding.

Any other thoughts on the matter?
