Talking Remixing?

How do i go about taking a song i have on my computer, and remixing it, without completely remaking it. Is there a way to chop up songs so i can get the individual sounds seperated? BTW i have reason 3.0 and audacity at my disposal.

YES!! post #123! ^_^!

well if you mean like using filters and stuff to get the sample from the song, i heard it's impossible. I've asked DM Ashura and he said it was too. But you can find samples on CD's or sample packs. I suggest you either find a midi or use the SUZUKI method to make the melodies. Oh yeah about midis, im not sure if it's the same as FL. What are you trying to remix btw?

Talking

I was thinking about doing a 'Look to the Sky' remix (from DDR) and the synths and drums and such would be quite hard to recreate (though it wouldn't be impossible) but the vocals is what would really kill me.

Lead: JP-8080
Vocals: luckily are not sent through a vocoder (I don't know how to do that.. ) but I know they are pitch bent , the lyrics aren't exactly hard, just get a girl to sing, then pitch bend like mad-sota-skills.

Do you really want to remix this song? I have over 10 fan mixes of it...
