I'd appreciate all C&C I can get on this- this is in a style I don't often post here, but quite enjoy creating. Really chilled out music done on an acoustic-electric guitar, an electric Bass, a Drum Machine (and a few samples, I will admit) and a midi keyboard controlling strings and e-piano.
I'd really like any and all comments on this- does it have the potential to be commericial music (like in a movie or something?) Did I mess up anything in the production or in my technique?
I'm in a Chillout/Downtempo phase of my music listening, and I lurve this song. Once those strings and piano comes in, IT'S ON. I felt the acoustic guitar could have used some more work in the intro though, it's the focus of the section but playing nothing but chords made the part a bit dull.
The only thing I don't like about this track is the acoustic guitar sounds a bit choppy in some places. Other than that I have much love for this song and I can hardly wait to hear more like this from you.
i think you should do some more intricate stuff at the beginning if at all possible, rather than just strumming, but heck, it sounds gold just as it is. Reminds me of something that might have been on the first Metric album maybe? It's really pretty.
Sounds like something from the Ragnarok Online soundtrack. Excellent production quality, great melodies and ideas, although there's something about the lead guitar that bothers me. Sounds like the resonance is screwed up on some parts of it. I think the kick could be a little bit stronger to help it move, too.
