Default [Ryi] Artist Thread

So this label that I like is having a remix contest for their artist "Little Jinder":
Little Jinder Remix Contest

I figured that I'd give it a shot!

Here's my REMIX (zshare)
Here's the ORIGINAL (zshare, but you need to download the track)

Please, please, please listen to both the original and my remix, because I basically rearranged the structure of the track entirely. It's not nearly as uhntiss uhntiss uhntiss as my other remixes; more of an electro-pop song than anything.

Feedback would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks in advanced!!

EDIT: The song is called "Polyhedron", btw. Couldn't tell you why, other than she says 'polyhedron' once or twice...

wow, I love your remix! I like it much more than the original.

.............. something's odd though. Your newly-interpretted chorus really really reminds me of Dayvan Cowboy. Was that intentional in any way? >_>;

Oops. I didn't read the new rules. And tbh, I really don't like them. What's the point of having an artist thread unless you're very prolific?

Also, I've already introduced myself. I'm not exactly new-new; you helped me with a decision regarding a new computer... remember?

If you guys are trying to make the MP forum more welcoming for newcomers, I can't say that creating a thread that revolves around the individual (rather the music) is the best way to go./rant

Anyways, thanks for the comments Eshmasesh! Although I've never heard that Boards of Canada song before, there's definitely some unintentional similarities. I guess it's because both songs are written in C# major and share a similar chord progression. Weird!

I didnt see you introduced yourself, my bad

And you stated the exact reason why we are better off this way: So people dont just drop by every two months and throw a track. This way you have to be part of the community and not just a lurker

My brain was giving me wierd feelings and I thought it was musical deja vu for a while. Part of the reason i really like the track is the association I make with it now :3

Ah yes. That makes sense. Sorry... I tried to change this thread's title, but it didn't work.

Eshmasesh - it makes me ecstatic to know that you're associating one of my tracks with Boards of Canada. Many thanks!

Hi Ryi, I was searching the internet to hear some remixes of polyhedron, I came across yours and just wanted to say I REALLY like it, it's really creative and sounds good, I think your version is better than the original.

I was wondering what tune program you used, I use protools and reason, and though I didn't on this remix I have waves vocal tune (they may not be the exact name but it's something like that) and I can never get it to work, It crashes alot, which isn't normal for my system. but anyhow I wanna get a good vocal tuning program, so I was wondering what you used.

here's my remix of polyhedron.
