Length: 5:31

Title: Lucid Visions
Genre: Melodic Trance with a dash of techno

Yeah, I don't wanna do that album right now. Maybe later, but for now I'm just gonna do this for fun/money if the opportunity ever comes to me. But I have more music, so enjoy it.

Lucid Visions

I think the intro is way too long and leaves me second guessing myself. I kept waiting for a break and every time I expect this bad ass beat to come in, nothing. Once the break did finally get there though, the track definitely started showing life. I personally would want more progression in my music, and although it does drag on and on, it did its job as a trance track. I can see this being played at clubs.

Vent D'Hiver

Man when the track started going in the beginning I was REALLY excited. The amount of energy that was balling up and getting ready to release was incredible. Then I was completely disappointed to be introduced to a weak bass sine line. The guitar samples towards the end and the glitch and cut effects give the song a bit more life but ultimately I was left unsatisfied. You should definitely work on giving it more edge and "oomph" per say. I don't mean to sound like a dick or anything, but you should definitely consider doing something like that one Daikenkai remix on this forum. Something bad ass essentially, and something more percussion based.

Otherwise, all my opinion dude. You have some solid foundations but a lot of untapped potential.

Hey you know what you make you better, if you sounded like an artist better than yourself.

Yeah, not to be defensive, but that was a really bad thing to say.

Anyways, since my old headphones broke I've had to use other ones, and the bass and treble are super-boosted so it hurts to hear either one at 'normal' volume, and I guess that's rubbed off in the stuff I make. Vent D'Hiver wasn't meant to be an 'oomph' song, but I can imagine what it's lacking.

Also I switched Lucid Visions to melodic instead of prog.

I never ever mentioned that he was better than you. Relax. Im just saying you should consider aiming for that kind of feeling.

I never said "you suck be like this guy", so please don't take it like I kicked you in the shin.

Well Vospi is a completely different artist than me, and we both have our own ideas of how a track should sound. The idea that you have in mind (i.e. the Daikenkai remix) is not what I think my track should sound like, although it does bring up points about EQing that I need to tackle.
