Aside from what I mentioned,

You can also look for songs from Matt Darey and Mike SHIVERS.

Oh and Children of the Sandstorm (Robert Miles Versus Darude)

More like the reunion of Gouryella.
So Tiesto can do even less than he did initially? :3

ps airbase is still pretty much the best trance producer out there
iio - smooth (airbase remix) is absolutely a classic in my books.

Well yeah (I still can't stand going to a live DJ gig where the DJ does not do actually mixing and stuff but justs jumps and dances like an idiot).

Though that discussion should be left in that other thread and not in here

Anyhow

Music-wise, he does make neat stuff.

An example of which is Never (Past Tense) which is a song from Australian singer Tina Arena (with Tiesto doing a superb remix of it).

Too bad though that it is not considered as inspiring........as it is more of dark melodic (something that Markus Schulz plays......which should be avoided as this is not what the OP wants).

airbase
Hmm, years ago I was confused between airbase and airwave (so much as how I can't determine the difference between Solar Force and Solar Stone).

Anyways, back to the thread:

I'll probably suggest to you one thing:

Varekai (Alt F4 remix) - Kenneth Thomas and Mike Skye

Granted, this track may be controversial as it bends the rules or the parameters of what is considered as *strictly* Uplifting trance. (as it is also a semi-dark melodic tune).

Still, to the OP, you may want to give it a try as well as it is a solid trance tune that is really awesome (and it is one of the Top 20 fave songs on the Di.fm trance channel)

P.S.
I'm not too familiar with iIO though (except for Rapture which I've heard for a gazillion number of times)

Always good to see others appreciate his musical genius :P

I forgot a band. Infected Mushroom. They got me into Goa/Psy trance hardcore, and their new stuff is amazing.

Also

Something that your should try.

You gotta listen to a few stuff from Jon O Bir.

His progressive uplifting trance tunes are superb imho.

In fact, I recently attend his gig (which was the first time he visited my country) which was sponsored by Ministry of sound.

Damn the tunes were awesome...................plus I got free entrance (one of the first 100 peeps with a Nokia phone)

How cool was that

oh, excuse me for breaking the electronic genre by introducing something else that inspires me:

Jah Cure feat. Gentleman - Share the Love

that isn't the same version I listen to but i love my roots. ^^ even car horns inspire me, hence why most of my songs sound like shit.

Gotta mention, Above and Beyond's "Stealing Time" just came on the radio. I forgot how fantastic Above and Beyond are. What an amazing ambiance and feeling from the most basic of trance sounds.

Omg "Larry Mountains" came on. What an amazing groove. /stops

YES. Larry Mountains 54 has some fantastic melody work in it. It's still a favorite to this day.

I saw ATB play tonight, and I'd just like to say that he owned the room. Go see him if you can.

Now that you mention it, you are right on that

Especially with this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htsi0o61vhk

Anyways here are some that you will like:
YouTube - Above & Beyond - Tri-State (Robert Nickson Intro Remix)

That's the Tri-State song.........that's also in their Tri State album.

Only difference is that this the Robert Nickson remix which is the should I say "trance version" (as the album version is just more for chillout/ambient).

Both are still wonderful either way hehe

Oh and this song from them too:
YouTube - Above & Beyond - Far from in love (Original Mix)

Enjoy

Agreed

"You're so good baby. Love life the music sounds better with you."

Also

You'd definitely wouldn't want to miss this out.

Make Luv by Room 5

YouTube - Room 5 feat Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv

Make Luv - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some people are familiar with the song as it appeared in a commercial of Axe deodorant (aka "Lynx" in British, Irish Australian and New Zealand areas)

Also, this song is a remix of the original song from Oliver Cheatham called "Get Down on a Saturday Night" (Those who play GTA VC and listen to Fever 105 radio station know about this song )
