i felt that the bass could defintly be stronger. as for the tune itself, I really like it's very happy atmosphere (something that i try to create aswell)
I'm not sure about the piano.. have you tried Nexus? It has some great piano.

Also, it mgiht just be me, but do you get alot of inspiration from video games? because it sounds very video gamey..

This is a very good song, but I think you need to change a few things so it sounds a bit more DDR'ish.

First off, raise the bass.

Secondly, add some sort of pad throughout the song so it doesn't feel "simplistic, or plucky". Make the song feel very whole-some and full.

Thirdly (?), Change that pre-made synth lead, because everyone who uses Reason would probably recognize that sound in a heartbeat (like I did).

Fourthly, I would try to make the last chorus section more epic than the rest of the song. Really make it powerful and stick out. Also, try adding in a good finish, instead of fading out.

Youre definitely missing some supersaws/pads like KGZ said. That bounce bass and kick need to be turned up as well. My headphones barely pick them up. That synth break you have is really really cheesy and cheap too. I know happy music is cheesy to begin with, but I mean it really does ruin the vibe.

Good stuff, but it needs a lot of work, especially the break.

K so I upped the bass, and added some sort of pad .. its not very loud cause if it was then there would be too much going on.

Anyways, I think this is my final version no matter what, and im gonna submit it tonight (or however long it takes).

Also..Which synth break??

if its the one I think it is I have this to say..

You realize this is a remix of an old song of mine right? That song was pretty cheezy, and I obviously use alot of elements from the original, so Im not going to change it because then it wouldnt have as much of the original in it.

Also, the Chemist, did you used to have a different username? Or is that who you have always been? (Just curious).

Anyways here it is

Amazing what little changes can do to a song. Its much better than what it was, although I personally would enjoy it 100 times more if were cut to 3 minutes or something. Sometimes certain measures would seem to loop too much. I'll wait for a DDR cut if you make it I guess.

Fun song!

And I went by Dark to Chemist several months ago. Also, fyi for people, you don't have to say "the Chemist". Chemist is fine lmfao. Just a title

Lol it's still a bad synth lead man. As I mentioned before, it's the pre-made one in Reason.

As for pad, that wasn't necessarily the idea I had in mine. By pad, it should have had whole note chords with a soft pad, so there would always be some sort of sound ringing through the song.

I know it's a remix, but it's a variation. You should also keep in mind what kind of songs are in DDR.

Nonetheless, you did a great job with this. Who knows, eh? Good luck to you

Like I said, a pad like that would have cluttered up the song way too much, and it would pretty much sound all muffled and cluttered. As it is, there are like just enough sounds so that it doesnt happen.

Anyways, I liek that reason synth :P. Its one of my favorites :P, and it sounds good haha

Hope I win :P

I gotta finish up my 2nd and possibly my third submissions this weekend.

you should find a better piano. It's a bit empty so adding a pad might be a good idea.
