Marketplace Rating: 0 | [Tech Trance] Revitalize Finally, I've almost got the finished product for this!
This track is my attempt at combining techno elements with uplifting trance. I'm not sure if I successfully did so or veered off, but all I know is that this track sounds way different from anything I've made before, usually dark or abstract themes. i might not ever make anything like it again, but it's still been really fun.
This track is now finished! Listen to it here: Revitalize
Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Oh yeah, that's some tech trance right there. I really like the beat this one has. Percussion was done amazingly. That first synth was not what I expected at all, but once it came in completely I was in love with it. Excellent synth work throughout. A few of the melodies kinda felt... off, I don't know how else to put, nor do I know what it was that made them feel that way to me, so I don't really have much advice there . The basslines were really good, and the percussion continued to amaze me
The only thing I have to say is that the ending felt really abrupt. I had the feeling the song was going to build into maybe a final climactic moment, before building back down, and I was surprised when I opened up the window to see only a few second remaining. That's really the only criticism I have for you. great job. 9/10

I'm glad you enjoyed it

The only thing is, konami isn't very creative with steps. the best they can do is take a supersaw, and convert the timing of that to arrows. They dont do well with percussion, unless step, jump, step, jump 1/8th notes is considered good

This is the most upbeat song I've ever made, btw. I'm usually very mellow and a bit abstract with my music.

This is some fucking GREAT music. I LOVE this! The build-up to your bassline was a bit cheesy, mostly due to samples, and you would do yourself a huge favor by replacing that bassline with a TB303 line.
Otherwise helllll yessss! | |

Otherwise helllll yessss! | Believe it or not, I actually wanted that to be cheesy. I wanted to have fun with making this track, and the cheesiness was fun to do :3
I couldn't really find a TB303 I liked, that was the first thing I looked for, so I stuck with this.
I'm glad you liked it!

That was actually pretty freakin' awesome! Starts out kind of rough with the strong percussion, then it gets so relaxed and heavenly and inspirational, gaining velocity... Good job! ^_^
You get the Badby thumbs up on this one! xD

Marketplace Rating: 3 | This is pretty good. Went a little overboard with the reverse kicks in some spots lol.. The kick is also kinda weak it needs to stick out more in the mix when there's a lot going on.
With a punchier kick, some vocal stutters, a nice bouncy 303 bassline and some strange sound effects you could easily make this into a good psytrance song. I'd highly recommend it

Marketplace Rating: 0 | ... I had this big long review ready to go ... and then I navigated away and it was gone.
So, in short: great composition, and production. What happened to the build towards the end? This should be longer. And lastly, WHY HAVE I NOT PICKED YOUR BRAIN MORE. Hot work!
P.S. Take is amazing. | |
