The kick is too deep/muffled or something. It's not punchy enough it needs more compression on it I do believe.
I love that bass. In fact a lot of the synths you use are fantastic and sound wonderful. Great use of stereo imaging.
There's a section around 4:40-4:50 that could use a little cleaning up, I think it's mostly due to the kick. Seriously that kick is buggin me It's mucking up the bass/sub range a lot when there is a lot of sound going on.
With the type of bassline you are using also, be sure you are sidechaining the bass, I can't exactly tell if you are or not.
Overall the song was pretty good. I got a little bored at times, though. You could fix that with some dynamics to the leads (add chorus at points, change note length, add a phaser, something)

I do have to agree with Helix though, I think you could have mixed it up a bit more to keep the attention. Either way, the synths were fantastic, and melodies were amazing. Can't wait to hear more.
BTW: I would submit this to the contest. I'm sure it will do well.

Thanks again, guys! | |

Not sure if its dancy/energetic enough for DDR, but I would definitely give it a shot if your thinking about it. Reminder though, the max limit for submissions is 7 minutes, so you might wanna cut it a bit I guess?

While I do like a long trancer, I must say I think often times, shortening a song and removing unnecessary and/or overly repetitive elements, can actually improve the overall quality. The first piece of advice I ever got on my music (and I got this a lot) was to shorten my builds, and make things less drawn out. That's not to say this is drawn out. it's more repetitive if anything. And also, it could still work at th length it's at now. If you amped the energy up at the last repetition of the main climax, and mixed things up a bit in the other repetitive areas it could prove to be a long and powerful track. Can't wait the hear the next version though.

Okay, been plugging at this and it's getting frustrating so it's time for me to step away for a while. http://marketingruinedmylife.com/mp3...%20edit)_5.mp3
Shorter, diversified, side-chained, sped up by 4BPM and EQ re-tweaked.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Am I going in the right direction, or should I go back to what I had before? Do you think I should add percussion to the build at 2:27?
Thanks so much, guys!
