Post Which is the Best Mp3 Player for computer?

I have been using Winamp for a long time now & downloaded Plug-ins and DFX Enhancer & shit to make the sound goes better or did I thought it did?

Anyway, I recently by mistake opened a song on WMP (Windows Mediaplayer) and found out that the sound was much better, the receiver made a contact (connected by optic cable) & start to shine blue.

From now on, I'm using WMA, but I don't like to use it becasue no word can describe how annoying the Media Player is...so aren't there any better mp3 players to use than Winamp? Have you anything to recommend?

well, for me, nothing beats good old Windows Media Player (version 6, seriously)

For multiple files, version 10

There seems to be a lot of hype about Foobar2000, apparently it's a solid music player that is customizable out the ass. A lot of people from a certain music site that I frequent recommend it for Windows users.

foobar2000 is great because it gives the user the ability to make it look like what they want it to look like with a little bit of coding.

The default eq in winamp is tons better than windows media player, you don't need any plugins. If anything, stacking too many plugins on top of each other will give you the opposite of what you want in your music. Winamp is a lot more memory efficient than WMP, also better working with playlists.

I've meant to sit down and use foobar for the last year or so, but I'm too lazy to learn how to apply skins/create my own. :<

I use iTunes because I'm anal about correctly tagging all of my music and putting album covers on. Plus I have an iPod, so meh. I use iTunes 5, though, as 6 was terrible and 7 is just hideous with the album cover spinner thing. My favorite version of iTunes was 4.9.X when they still used the brushed metal look, but I have an iPod Video and they require iTunes 5 or above.

I only have complete albums on my iTunes, but if I just feel like listening to one song, I just load it up on WMP. I'd use Winamp but the winky support for picking up ID3 tagging in Japanese makes me wanna cry, although there is a method to get Japanese to properly work. Not worth it to me, though.

i use foobar2000 and it's pretty sweet.
there are some foobar installs that are already skinned. can't remember what they're names are though.

if you use linux, amarok is known to be extremely good.

I use Itunes. Aside from the fact it takes a lot of memory, its pretty good for keeping music organized and other things, such as importing songs from other sources.

Winamp is my program of choice. It uses the least amount of resources and it's suepr easy to install skins (which still won't increase recourse usage, can even decrease from the default skin.)

Foobar2000 is ok, but it's hard as fuck to get skins working properly.

WMP is lame for multiple files, but if you're just playing one or two, sure why not.

iTunes is my best friend. I find it a lot better than some of the mp3 players for the computers that I've used/seen.

Winamp used to freeze up on my computer, anyway.

Why do you have both live365 and winamp open?

And no offense, but that skin is possibly the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Far worse than the default even.
