When I try, the status bar at the bottom just says "waiting for *nameofsite*" and continues to do this forever (I've let it sit there and try for over a day with no change). I've had no trouble downloading any other type of file and if someone sends me a .torrent file I can open it up and download just fine. I also can't use utorrent's "download from url" feature, it gives me an error about not being able to download it. Googling this issue has been rather hard thanks to all the torrents of Windows 7 floating around.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I can still get torrent's on the other computer running xp mce and while, yes, I could just pop in a flash drive and bring em over, I'd like to figure out what stopping it on this computer.

Anyway, I figured out a way to download the torrent files, but maybe someone can explain why I have to use this method. Pretty much goes like this:
1) Click on the torrent like normal. This sets me into an infinite loop of "waiting for *insert torrent name site*
2) Ctrlaltdelete and kill firefox. Can't just close firefox and save the session, have to kill it.
3) Reopen firefox
4) Within the first 5 seconds or so, I can click the link to download the torrent and it will download. If the window or opportunity is missed, I go back to step 2 and try again.
This also posses a problem cause sometimes I don't get the 5 seconds, I get closer to 5 milliseconds and the more times I have to kill firefox and reopen, the less chance of success I have and have to completely start over.

I'm led to believe that if the ladder is climbed far enough we're going through ATT since I couldn't access /b/ for the time period that ATT was blocking it. Quote:

(usually best to do this) | Yeah, IE, FF, Opera 10. They all just sit there and do their version of "waiting for ..." As for the right-click, save as... method, it does the same thing. In firefox's case, the download window comes up and it just says "Starting download." Plus some of these private sites that use a php form to retrieve the torrent causes the .php file to be downloaded which doesn't do me any good. Same problem with download managers as well. The .torrent won't download and sites using the php form will end up downloading the .php file.
