Default Debating on 2 ipods..

I have a choice of getting either an 80 gig video or a 80 or 160 gig classic.

i know the video has stuff that an ipod needs(i.e a PROTECTIVE CASE!) i was wondering if it is too outdated and should just get the classic.i heard thought that the classic is as hard as a rock! and that it is really delecate.plus the classic is about $150 more expensive then the video.im afraid i will spend the extra money on wasted space.i want to put mabey 1000+ songs plus some movie, stand up comedy, and tv shows.

can i get your guy's opinion on this.

I would recommend the 80 GB video if only because it supports Rockbox.

i myself recommend the 160 gigabyte due to the gigabyte per dollar ratio.

also, it's battery life is FAR superior than the other two. the ipod can do up to 45 hours of continuous music listening or 9 hours of coutinuous video watching. (from cnet lab tests. better than what apple actually says)

If you only want about 1000 songs to be put on there, you have no reason to get the 160 GB.

That said, I'd still go with the classic. Extra battery life is your friend, and if you honestly have to worry about durability, then you're either HARDCORE AS FUCK (i.e. you wrestle grizzly bears and sharks simultaneously in your spare time) or just retarded (i.e. durr i just dropped it again).
