As much as I'd like to download all of those, I feel that I shouldn't (esp. with my crappy PCs atm).

Heck, my slow-ass P4 is like fucking turtle the moment Norton Security Scan initiates.

So basically, I'll only download all of those programs once I have Intel Core i7 and Vista Ultimate 64 bit at the ready.

TeraCopy

Basically a replacement for the Copy/Move shell for Windows (multi-OS). Works a hell of a lot better than your regular copy. One example is I used this to copy >22GB of movies from one drive to another (two Seagates running at SATA I speed) and it took under 9 minutes @ ~43MB/s clocked. This was on an XP comp and I've heard it does even better on Vista in terms of old shell comparison.

That should give you an idea. Works REALLY well with large files more than small but the interface extras, pausing, and other things bundled in make it worth it.

I only seconded it because of its error checking capabilities. Seriously, you have no idea how much power was wasted on a big copy job that should have been done hours ago.

That seems interesting.

Though I wonder if in terms of backup utility..........

This one or Norton Ghost???

Hmm......

Guess I'll have to see some benchmarks for this then.

TeraCopy doesn't do backups, it just makes file copy and move operations work they way they should have since five years ago.
