For universities / colleges that have agreements with Microsoft (read: most of the major schools), they sell Office / XP / Vista for rediculously low prices. I think when I was still in school I got all of Office 2003 for like $15, and a full version of XP Business for $30.

it looks like its a 12 month "trial" to the XNA creator's club. You're not allowed to download the community games but you can port your shit to the 360.

Windows Server 2008 is now being offered.

This link helps make Server '08 become more of a workstation. People keep bitching that it can't run like a workstation but what I linked to says otherwise. Also, it apparently runs significantly faster than Vista.

Also, there's a workaround where the serial you're given in DreamSpark is universal. If you download the trial for the 64-bit version and use the serial given to you, it WILL work fine.

Just as an update, I don't have much installed on right now (only my RSS reader, Digsby, Chrome, and The Orange Box).

I ran HL2 Episode 1 without a hitch though. Steam's updating TF2 now.
