Good webhosting for cheap?

So my church needs to find a good webhost for relatively cheap (they already have a domain name, not sure if that matters).

They don't need a lot of space or some kind of ridiculous speeds, but good tech support would be nice.

Any help or suggestions?

it has pre-made tools to help with your basic everyday website needs!

why not just go with google sites? it doesn't get much bigger than google, or any cheaper than free

it sounds like they aren't going to need anything particularly "advanced" so it should be a good fit for them

NearlyFreeSpeech looks good. It runs on a pay-as-you-go model and shouldn't cost more than the initial deposit if the site is small enough. It looks like tech support is a premium for non-critical issues, though.

I hate Google sites and Google functions except GMail and Maps. Their docs function never worked properly for me (and is SLOOOOW), Groups were unreliable and always experienced downtime, ugh. It's just me though, maybe your milage may vary.
