HD Video Capture

So like with all these new consoles, how about some direct feed?

I looked into it and every product was way too expensive for the average consumer.

However I did spot this
Newegg.com - Hauppauge HD PVR High Definition Personal Video Recorder 1212 USB 2.0 Interface - TV Tuners & Video Devices


A relatively cheap solution for the average consumer wanting to do some captures in 720p/1080p from a 360 or PS3, hell even the Wii in 480p.

With all that said and done, has anyone tried this product? I am really considering it.

I am borrowing a friend's hybrid tuner card to capture videos, but he lost the component cables adapter so i have to use the coaxial input. The quality could be a lot better...but for putting vids up on youtube it works just fine for me.

I am getting a replacement adapter when i get all my computer upgrades in a few weeks.

well the topic is HD capture. sooo have you used or seen that hybrid card in action for 720p captures?

Composite inputs are already covered in all forms, there's really no need to discuss that. If you really want to, I will shower you with Castle Shikigami 2 dubs.
