Default Help with LPT converter

Alright so, I got a dj dao controller a while ago, and with it came a LPT converter, it basically goes in the back of your computer to a 25 pin female plug (or something like that lol x_x, it has 25 pins and a ps2 port on the converter).

So anyway like i noticed in the back of my computer I didn't have a 25 pin port anywhere (i had like, a 9 pin i think or something smaller), and at the time i didn't think anything of it cause i have a ps2 converter already that works well for emulators and whatnot, and i tried the current converter I had for a IIDX sim and it is horrible, even when overclocking the usb drives or whatever. So I was wondering if anyone knew of maybe some sort of adapter or something i could buy that i could put the Dao converter in, I hear its pretty good so i'd like really like to try it out if possible <_<. Thanks in advance.

How can your computer not have a parallel port? It's standard to have one.

BTX removes LPT-EPP ports from the standard of requirement. Serial ports, Ironicaly, are less used and still required.

To answer original poster's question, youll need a PCI card with a LPT port on it. Check newegg.

hmm my ASUS ATX board has no LPT, has to be attached through a slot adapter and a pin hookup to the mainboard... if its a relatively new dell then yes BTX will have removed the LPT port. the 9 pins are Serials, not Paralells, I don't know of any converters myself, but I'm sure theres a LPT to USB (i've seen ones coupled with printers) or a LPT to Serial converter out there somewhere... dunno though, try newegg or something.

Does anyone know where I could find the software to get a BMUS controller working with an LPT converter?

The only sfw I could find was DPad Pro 6.0, and it flat-out doesnt work.
