I was thinking about asking this - how do people capture console gaming onto a computer as a video? I need certain tools to do it, but what, and does Radioshack and/or Circuit City have anything to do something like this?

TV out / capture device or box. They range anywhere from 20 to a couple hundred depending on your uses for it and quality. Generally, if you want something like that, you need a semi-decent system (something P4 or above with an okay vid card preferred).

Since we're talking gaming consoles, what about handheld systems like the DS or PSP?

I would think specialized hardware provided by Nintendo or Sony for review purposes.

Actually, I just remembered. There was that Super Game Boy for the SNES & the GBA Player for the GCN. Doesn't the PSP have some kind of cable you can buy that'll let you hook it up & play it on the TV?

Yes, but those cables will only output games via component cables and only by progressive scan, progressive scan capture cards are rather rare still.

the psp has homebrew software which can record to the memory stick. I believe the DS probably has something like that too.
