Default Laptop Keyboard D Key not working (HALP)

So, my laptop is working fine and everything, but the D key seems to be dieing on me or something.

I don't know what to do, but, it seems that if you press on the sides like the corner, mainly on the upper right/upper middle section, the key will work once and then short out I think?

It's starting to get on my nerves and I'm wondering if I can possibly fix it myself or need to send it in for repairs (Warranty for the win) or if any of you all can provide some help information.

youre probably going to have to get the part replaced. if its under warranty, dell will replace it. If not its like a 30 dollar part with a 1 hour installation.

Yeah, I ended up speaking with the support staff and they are shipping me out a new keyboard for my laptop. I have to install the thing myself but it doesn't seem so hard.

It's not. The hardest thing will be getting the ribbon cable into the connector.

It should take 20 minutes tops.
