Looks good though. I can't see myself buying one as soon as they become available to the public, but maybe if the price came down I would contemplate considering thinking about buying one.

Optical scanning sounds far more practical for this purpose. It'll be more expensive, but the thing with loading camera images without cables sounds like something nobody saw coming.
Thats pretty nifty, though I've seen several similar prototype tables from non MS companies some years before... Still, glad they hopped in and are pursuing this technology, it looks like it could make lots of things easier!
I've seen a video similar to this before but the demo guy convinced me much more...
With *this* video, it's blatantly obvious that you have to move pretty damn slowly in order for the cameras to recognise the motion. Also, the response time is horribly slow. What the hell would happen when a really hands-on, tech-savvy guy tries to manipulate data really really fast?
Sure, it's the way of the future -- I'm betting on it -- but till it improves in quality, I won't be expecting this sort of thing to work to its full potential in the commercial world for another decade
