Default MP3 player help( tis broken :( )

Ok, so, i have a Creative Zen Micro, and well, the part where you plug in the headphones, well, it just doesnt work some of the time, if i angle it a certain way, it works, but then if it moves it doesnt. Its no longer under warranty, and i dont have the money to buy a new one. I assume theres a problem with the wiring near the audio plug-in. Does anyone know of a way i can attempt to fix this myself, or should i just give up on it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah... it gets worse and worse. I've had the same problem.

No fix for it, return it. Eventually it just wont work at all.

Yeah, just throw it away now since it's under warrenty. That happened with a CD player I used to have it's from plugging in and plugging out the headphones often. So this should be a lesson to ya.

Creative headphone jacks tend to suck. Suprising, they make sound cards.

Try this. (I don't have one. I just did a quick Google search and this is what came up.)

Edit: There is a post with a link with pictures and step-by-step instructions on how to take the thing apart.

Tis the right problem of Audio comp.s - - O well, as long as you can tape it, or soldier it back together, then it'll be working fine man.

this may sound odd. but if there is a possible update for the firmware of the mp3 player.. not likely .. but.. if there is.. then the update would fix it.. the same thing happened with my laptop and mp3 player.. i updated the firmware on the audio driver on my laptop .. and the firmware on the mp3 player.. and it ended up working perfectly..
